She is the Operations Team Z7 skirmisher who sticks bombs to enemies and tells her teammates their secrets out loud. Her profile records turn out to be a wanted poster, an HR complaint, a letter to her dead mother and a long argument about who civilization really belongs to.

**How we checked this.** Everything below comes from Fluorite’s profile records, voice lines and text message threads in the official English localization, checked against the current game data on 13 October 2026\. Where the files only hint at something, or where we read between the lines, we say so. The images are scenes from our own Short about her, built from the same files.

## TL;DR - Key Points

* **Her real name is Verana.** Her wanted poster lists five gangs she worked for and four aliases, including “Gossipmonger”.
* **The bounty climbed four times.** 300,000, then 450,000, then 800,000, then 1,200,000 T-Creds. The broker also took body parts: “50% for the tongue.”
* **She kicked Spokesperson Powell.** He had been protecting the crime boss she turned on. She wore a mask. “He deserved it.”
* **Akekuri got her the job.** Fluorite rallied a town against criminals and helped an Endfield team escape.
* **HR filed her interview as a “unique case study”.** She answered every question before it was asked.
* **She says your secrets out loud.** Some colleagues believe she has “divination” abilities.
* **Never open her boxes.** Her team bolts when she approaches with her hands behind her back.
* **Her family was 36 strangers.** Six uncles, eight aunts and twenty-two siblings, “folks who fled with me and my mom.”

## Who Is Fluorite?

![Hired with a 1.2 million bounty, then THWACK: a politician, in public](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-thwack.webp)

Fluorite is a Phidia operator of Endfield Industries, born on June 21, and Oripathy positive. Her physical exam rates her combat skill “Excellent” and everything else “Standard” or “Normal”. In battle she is a 4-star Nature Caster with a pair of handcannons and a bag of adhesive bombs: “Just tweak the adhesive surface, and it’ll blow up exactly where it counts.” She introduces herself as “Op Z7 skirmisher, Fluorite. Got anything to say? No? How about we just call it a day?”

Her file opens with a complaint. “We would like to remind Miss Fluorite to regard our regular physical examinations as an official requirement and attend a session. If she finds yet another excuse for her absence, we shall escalate this situation to Miss Akekuri.”

## The Wanted Poster

Her second record is not a biography. It is a bounty poster, which, the Endfield notes say, she “voluntarily submitted” only “after much persuasion from our side.”

The name on it is **Verana**. “Known aliases: Double Hands, Gossipmonger, Shots-Got-Eyes, Strangleweed. Female. Phidia. Green haired.” Her employment history reads like a frontier crime directory: former muscle for the Boozers and the Lamelegs, gunslinger for the Hungry Lupos, honorary member of the Scarred Company (“scratched out to avoid reprisal”), and top shooter for “Weird Neck” Logan.

![Fluorite, gun for hire: the Boozers, the Lamelegs, the Hungry Lupos, the Scarred Company scratched out, and Weird Neck Logan](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-gangs.webp)

The warning to bounty hunters is short. She is “extremely skilled in the use of hand guns, throwing daggers, and hand crossbows,” famous for quick-draws and traps. “Keep an eye on anything she holds. Do not believe anything (not even a word) she says.”

What she did to earn it: “stealing gang supplies, treason; inflaming local tensions in the town of Oriron Screw, toppling the business of ‘Weird Neck’ Logan, and physically wounding and crippling every member of his operations.” In other words, she turned on the last boss she worked for and took apart his whole crew.

![The bounty climbs to 1,200,000 credits](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-bounty.webp)

The bounty kept rising:

| Poster entry | Bounty |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| Original | 300,000 T-Creds |
| Update | 450,000 T-Creds |
| Update | 800,000 T-Creds, plus 200,000 more “if captured alive!” |
| Update | 1,200,000 T-Creds |

The payment terms are the darkest joke in the file. The intermediary is “Bald Brown” at a bar called Road of No Return, and payment is “in old bills with no consecutive serials. Body parts also accepted. 30% for hands and feet. 50% for the tongue.” For a woman whose alias is Gossipmonger, the tongue being worth the most is probably not an accident, though the file never says so.

## The Politician She Kicked

The poster’s last charge is the one everyone remembers: “we now have verified that she is the one who dealt a powerful kick to the nethers of a certain spokesperson in a public setting before fleeing the scene.”

Under it, in her handwriting: “That ‘certain’ spokesperson is Powell. He deserved it.”

![The politician, kicked, with stars around his head](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-kick.webp)

Endfield’s own investigation agrees with her. Powell’s early political career centred on free cities near the frontier, with “frequent interactions with leaders of various minor criminal organizations.” One was Logan, who dominated Oriron Screw and is “a potential suspect in illicit crop trading and the use of forced labor in hazardous environments.” Logan “has, on multiple occasions, granted Powell monetary benefits in exchange for protection.”

Fluorite wore a mask for the kick. Powell “did not suffer serious physical injuries, but his public image took a significant blow,” partly because of his “exaggerated and undignified reactions to the intense pain,” and partly because he showed “a malicious demeanor (upon finding Fluorite), which sharply contrasted with the public persona he had built.” His criminal records have since gone to the TGCC. The notes end dryly: “This incident is unlikely to trigger further PR issues, for now.”

## How a Wanted Woman Got a Job

The HR summary is brief: “Operator Fluorite once encouraged local civilians to violently resist a criminal organization and helped an Endfield field operations team escape certain threats. Operator Akekuri thus endorsed Fluorite’s employment with Endfield Industries.” It adds: “No new criminal records have been filed against the Operator since then.”

Her own version, in a trust line, is less flattering to the town. “I got in some trouble before I joined. Akekuri bailed me out. Her squad was busy saving the town, kicking out those Landbreakers. And the locals? They were too busy eyeing Endfield’s supplies like vultures… Now, tell me, what would you have done?”

![An Endfield team, locals eyeing their supplies, and a stamp: vouched, Captain Akekuri](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-hired.webp)

She still answers to [Akekuri](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/akekuri-lore-backstory-shiba-momiji-family-endfield), the Z7 captain who vouched for her, sometimes by hiding. “Did Akekuri just stroll into the training room, grinning … with a sword? Guess I’ll stay out of her sight for a bit longer…” And in one text thread the commander reads Akekuri’s mission report and asks whether she almost got into a conflict with the locals again. “Yup. Need me to write up something? I still have a few copies of the reflection left.”

Her method, she explains, is to answer people “according to what’s on their minds.” If they meant no harm, “the worst I’ll get is a few dirty looks even if I pop that bubble. But if their intentions were different … then it’s safer to make them show their fists early.” The locals in that report never filed a complaint, which, the commander realizes, means they really did have something to hide.

## The Interview HR Could Not Finish

The HR summary was written by an assistant named Martin Marvin Malen, and the interview clearly rattled him. Fluorite “seized the initiative and answered every question on the list before I formally delivered it to her. In fact, she even started laughing before I could complete my engaging answers. This situation was not predicted by my algorithms. Hence, this interview has been added to the archives of unique case studies for further analysis.”

![Job interview: questions asked 0, questions answered all, filed as a unique case study](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-interview.webp)

He also leaves a warning for colleagues: “Pay particular attention to Fluorite in social settings. Her ‘personal grudges’ are usually not as significant as we make them, but conversations with her may take unexpected turns.” The reassurance is that the company cares more about combat ability, so “her peculiarity is not particularly difficult to handle.”

## The “Psychic”

Her official Originium Arts create “polymorphic fluids with adhesive abilities.” The writer of her next file doubts that is all. Fluorite has “expert-level abilities in identifying damaging information about others,” and a “willingness to reveal such information without hesitation.” Even with her Arts test results public, “there are those who stubbornly believe that Fluorite has secret ‘divination’ abilities.”

One Z7 member’s complaint is quoted in full: “You almost flopped your PE and the instructor just gave you an earful. While heading back to the dorms you see Fluorite along the corridors and she suddenly goes, ‘I guess it can’t be helped. Midnight sandwiches are just so divine’… She’s so friggin’ annoying!”

![A crystal ball with a sandwich in it: midnight sandwiches are so divine](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-psychic.webp)

The rest of the team only gave “a chorus of knowing looks that silently said, ‘I feel you.’” The file is fair to her: she “does not intend to stir up trouble and she hardly speaks during dialogs,” but her “carefree nature combined with her excessively unforgiving tone” makes people uneasy. When confronted, “her defense was simple and sincere: ‘You want me to go and apologize?’”

## Never Open Her Boxes

Her text threads with the commander are mostly about boxes. In one, the commander has called in the engineering operators before opening a delivery: “Since they look like the kind of thing you’d give, I haven’t dared to open them yet.” Fluorite: “Come on, don’t be so wary. It’s not like I’ve only played a few jokes on you.” The commander: “That glue was a nightmare to clean up…”

![Glue. Everywhere.](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-glue.webp)

In another she sends a box with a wildflower in it, and the commander refuses: “Last time you made it sound so nice, but it still turned out to be a jack-in-the-box!” Her gift line in the base sums it up: “Here, a little gadget for you. Relax, nothing will pop out of it.”

Her team has learned the hard way. She asks the commander to deliver gifts to them because “they bolt the second they see me approaching with my hands behind my back. You’re my only workaround.”

## The Gifts That Were Real

That delivery was genuine. “The logistics operator just informed me, turns out the Captain and the others donated a significant amount behind my back to rebuild the ‘Oriron Screw’.” She says she never felt attached to the town, “But since someone’s looking out for my ‘hometown’, I suppose I owe them a favor.”

![Tail conditioner, giant memo pads, extra-spicy jelly beans and a book for Antal](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-gifts.webp)

The gifts: “Tail hair conditioner, large memo pads, and extra-spicy bizarre jelly beans. And a copy of ‘Common Guide to Daily Life’ for Big Scaley Savra.” The Savra is [Antal](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/antal-lore-backstory-bad-jokes-endfield), the team’s lizard. She makes the commander guess which gift is for whom, and never confirms the answer. Her reasoning for keeping them practical: “Then everyone would have to stress about how to return the favor.”

![Hometown rebuild fund: thanks.](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-hometown.webp)

## The Flower She Killed

The wildflower box is the strangest thread. Folks in the frontier call the flower “the ‘Pathfinder’s Bloom’,” a plant brought over from Terra that “only grows where people have been. But this one sprouted right on the edge of the Blight, just centimeters from all that filth.”

The commander finds it poetic: life never giving up on growing. Fluorite agrees it is “Quite ‘poetic’, isn’t it?” Then: “Though I just killed it.”

![So poetic... dead.](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-flower.webp)

She turns it into an argument. The lands beyond the frontier “might not truly belong to us,” and the Civilization Band is not much different: “If anything, it’s just one massive frontier. Only now we’ve got a bunch of pretentious hypocrites to deal with on top of it all.” People who stand on their own are “worth sticking together with.” The “parasites”, the “bandits who can’t survive without exploiting others,” she would “rather eliminate” herself.

The commander asks what has gotten into her. Her answer: “While picking that flower, I happened to take down a few clueless parasites who weren’t on the mission roster. I’ll leave the cleanup to you, thanks hero!”

![Three bandits, not on the mission list: I'll leave the cleanup to you](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-cleanup.webp)

## Six Uncles, Eight Aunts, Twenty-Two Siblings

Under the jokes is a refugee childhood. “When I was a kid, my mom and I were always running from one place to the next. Eventually, I had to survive on my own in the frontier. Some places gave us reserved grain as rations, while others taxed us with all sorts of made-up fees. Everywhere felt like home, yet nowhere truly was.”

The family was chosen. “I’ve got six uncles, eight aunts, and twenty-two siblings … We weren’t all related, just folks who fled with me and my mom. Some came later, some vanished who-knows-when. But we stuck together, even if it was only for a short while. That was family enough for me.” As kids, “we’d sleep all day on the burdenbeasts, sunbathing so we wouldn’t feel hungry.”

Her last profile file is a letter, “a piece of wrinkled paper, folded many times,” addressed to “Mama”. It lists what became of each uncle and aunt: a trucker in Alloycarrot, a grocery cashier in the Unicity, a journalist in Neo Tsukushi, Big William dead in a railroad accident in the abandoned Oriron Screw, Karakurt last seen near Valley V, two not yet found, “Long Legs” serving a sentence in Hongshan (“They treat inmates pretty well”), and Aldan, who “Tried fighting me but ran away… Piece of trash.”

It ends: “Verana, you can also call me ‘Fluorite’ now. I’ve reached the skies. Place is interesting so I might stick around for a while.” When the logistics operator handed it back to her, the note says, they “noticed a gentleness rarely seen in the latter’s eyes.” Her fifth trust line gives the same letter to the commander: “Burn it in the wildlands if I don’t make it back… The person it’s meant for is gone.”

The files never say outright that her mother died. “The person it’s meant for is gone” and the letter’s “Mama” make it the natural reading.

## Dying Towns and “the Stranding”

One file is an unnamed interviewer explaining her route across the frontier. “She’s like a scavenger, swooping from one dying town to the next. Once a new ‘corpse’ appears, she would spread her wings and ‘fly off’ again…”

The speaker does not blame the drifters. When a hub city hits a crisis, “the resulting supply breakdown could initiate a chain reaction capable of killing every town along the route. Death starts from the most isolated spots, the weakest link of the chain.” People even have “a special name to describe this phenomenon,” and the file calls it “the stranding”. The conclusion: “Crisis breeds privilege, and privilege is a hot bed for sin… We must master the power that can help us prevent this from happening.”

Fluorite’s own lines point the same way. “In the backwaters I’ve lived, it’s always the enforcers who squeeze people the hardest… Unless you’re close enough to grab their throats, nothing’s ever going to change.” Her fourth promotion line: “If the Band Fringes are part of the ‘better world’ we’re trying to build, then we’ve got plenty of work to do, don’t we?”

## Why “Fluorite”?

“After going over my file, Supervisor Perlica gave me the codename ‘Fluorite’. It’s naturally toxic, yet perfect for creating all kinds of industrial products. I get what she meant after skimming through the book. But, honestly? Kind of a cheeky choice.”

![Toxic, but useful.](https://endfieldhub.org/images/blog/fluorite-lore/fluorite-toxic.webp)

It is the most accurate thing anyone says about her. She tells people the truth they least want to hear, she booby-traps her gifts, and she put a politician on the ground in public. Every target in her files, though, is someone exploiting someone weaker: Logan, Powell, the locals eyeing Endfield’s supplies, the parasites off the mission roster. That pattern is our reading, not a line from the files.

## Her Team

Fluorite’s lines about Operations Team Z7 are affectionate in her own way. On [Catcher](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/catcher-lore-backstory-family-sends-weapons-endfield): “The super-prepared ones are usually the most afraid of screwing up… Don’t worry, he’ll push through, even if he’s scared stiff. He always does.” On [Estella](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/estella-lore-sad-backstory-landbreaker-camp-endfield): “Don’t touch Estella’s playlist, or let her chase danger for real.” On Antal: “We’re totally cool … as long as he remembers my tail’s not for staring.” And on the squad as a whole: “If it wasn’t for pure luck that we ended up in the same team, we’d be doubling the trouble. But don’t worry, I’ll keep them in check.”

Antal’s own files add that she taught him a card game where the loser does anything the winner asks, then lost five games in a row to him. We cover that in [his lore post](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/antal-lore-backstory-bad-jokes-endfield).
