**Cycle of Phantasia II runs October 22 to 29, 2026: Glaiver File: Yinglung (new), Silver Watercutter and Wall of Shields. Heat and Nature hit every enemy that has to die at full damage, so one Heat or Nature team clears all three.** Yinglung is a one-boss fight on a 700 SP opening bank, Silver Watercutter is an Arts Infliction race for a +50% team damage buff, and Wall of Shields only asks you to kill one Quillbeast Blightshade while Prisms respawn around it. Below is the clear plan for each stage, the teams that fit, and the Brutal bonus timers. The live version of this guide, with every stage’s enemies and rewards, sits at the top of our [Echoes of War database](https://endfieldhub.org/database/echoes-of-war#cycle-guide).

## TL;DR

* **Dates:** Cycle of Phantasia II is live from October 22 to October 29, 2026\. Cycle III (Age of Axes, Skirmishers’ Æthillu, Inorganic Fervor) follows, and Season of Fervor replaces Phantasia on November 5.
* **Glaiver File: Yinglung (new):** one YSTF Captain Blightshade. You start with 700 SP and a 700 SP cap, but every SP source is halved. Spend the bank early. Brutal bonus: clear within 2 minutes.
* **Silver Watercutter:** apply Arts Infliction 20 times and every operator gains +50% Final DMG Dealt. Farm the count on the 17 small Aggeloi, then burst the Tidewalker. Brutal bonus: clear within 3 minutes.
* **Wall of Shields:** only the Quillbeast Blightshade counts. Prisms respawn, resist interruption and do nothing for the clear. Brutal bonus: clear within 2 minutes.
* **Damage type:** Electric is the worst pick this week (x0.65 on both Blightshades, x0.80 on the Aggeloi). Heat and Nature run at x1.00 on all three stages.

## Damage-type map for Cycle II

These are damage-taken multipliers for the enemies you actually have to kill, from our enemy data. 1.00 is full damage, lower is a cut. The Prisms on Wall of Shields are left out because they do not affect completion.

| Stage | Must kill | Physical | Heat | Cryo | Electric | Nature |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------- | -------- | ---- | ---- | -------- | ------ |
| Glaiver File: Yinglung | YSTF Captain Blightshade | 0.80 | 1.00 | 1.00 | **0.65** | 1.00 |
| Silver Watercutter | Mudflow δ, Hedron δ, Tidewalker | 1.00 | 1.00 | 0.80 | 0.80 | 1.00 |
| Wall of Shields | Quillbeast Blightshade | 0.80 | 1.00 | 1.00 | **0.65** | 1.00 |

Cryo is fine on two of the three stages and only loses 20% on Silver Watercutter. Physical is a trap on Silver Watercutter for a different reason: it does not apply Arts Infliction, so it never turns the +50% buff on.

## Stage 1: Glaiver File: Yinglung

![Glaiver File: Yinglung stage art](https://endfieldhub.org/images/echoes-of-war/indie_battletower016.webp)

The new stage of the season. You fight one Elite, the YSTF Captain Blightshade, under one rule: “After the battle begins, operators’ starting SP and Max SP are increased to 700\. All SP recovery and regeneration -50%.”

### How to clear it

1. **Treat the 700 SP as your fight.** A standard Battle Skill costs 100 SP, so you open with seven casts ready. Cast them while your buffs and Ultimates are up instead of holding a reserve.
2. **Expect the refill to crawl.** Natural regeneration and every refund are halved once the bank is spent. A team that only comes online after several refills will run out of steam before the Captain does.
3. **Lean on SP-positive kits.** Camille, Akekuri and Alesh return SP through their kits, which partly offsets the halved gain.
4. **Skip Electric and Physical carries.** The Captain cuts Electric to 65% and Physical to 80%.

The Brutal bonus is a clear inside 2 minutes, so the opening burst decides it.

### Teams

## Stage 2: Silver Watercutter

The returning stage, back for its fifth rotation. Eleven Mudflow δ, six Hedron δ and one Tidewalker Elite. The buff: after your team applies Arts Infliction 20 times, all operators gain +50% Final DMG Dealt.

### How to clear it

1. **Use the adds as a battery.** Seventeen small Aggeloi are the fastest way to reach 20 applications. Open with multi-hit Arts skills into the packs.
2. **Hold Ultimates for the buff.** Once +50% is up, spend everything on the Tidewalker. Its base HP is four to six times a Mudflow’s, so that is where the timer goes.
3. **Bring Heat or Nature.** Every enemy cuts Cryo and Electric to 80%.

Kill order: the Mudflow δ and Hedron δ packs first, then the Tidewalker. The Brutal bonus is a clear inside 3 minutes.

## Stage 3: Wall of Shields

![Wall of Shields stage art](https://endfieldhub.org/images/echoes-of-war/indie_battletower010.webp)

The stage text is blunt: “Defeat the Quillbeast Blightshade to beat the stage. Defeating the Prisms does not affect stage completion.” Each Prism you kill respawns after a while, and Prisms are much harder to interrupt.

### How to clear it

1. **Ignore the Prisms.** Every second spent on them is a second off the Quillbeast, and they come back anyway.
2. **Tunnel the Quillbeast.** Put every Ultimate and burst window on it from the opening.
3. **Interrupt its charge, then reposition.** Step out of Prism pressure instead of trading hits with them.
4. **Skip Electric.** The Quillbeast cuts it to 65%, Physical to 80%.

The Brutal bonus is a clear inside 2 minutes, the same budget as Yinglung.

## One team for the whole cycle

If you only want to build one team this week, build the Heat team (Laevatain, Camille, Wulfgard, Akekuri). It runs at full damage on all three stages, it carries two SP-positive supports for Yinglung, and it applies Heat fast enough to trip the Silver Watercutter buff. The Nature team (Typhoeus, Arcane, Ardelia, Gilberta) is the other full-damage option everywhere, though it has no SP refunds for Yinglung.

## Common mistakes

* **Saving SP on Yinglung.** The bank is the best SP you will have all fight. Holding it while the refill runs at half speed only loses damage.
* **Bringing a pure Physical team to Silver Watercutter.** It never applies Arts Infliction, so the +50% buff never turns on.
* **Clearing Prisms on Wall of Shields.** They respawn and do nothing for the clear.
* **Running an Electric core.** It is the worst element on two stages and below full on the third.

## How the stars work

Normal (level 60) is 1 star, Hard (level 75) is 2, Brutal (level 90) is 3, so a full Brutal sweep of this cycle is 9 stars and the Band Legend title. Your season title is your single best cycle, so if Cycle I already went well, Cycle II is a second chance rather than an obligation. Clearing a stage on Brutal also pays a Mark of Perseverance and 5 Advanced Progression Selection Crates (Crate II on Yinglung, Crate I on the other two). For the general Brutal and Lustrous approach, see our [Brutal and Lustrous clear guide](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/echoes-of-war-brutal-lustrous-clear-guide-endfield).

## FAQ

**When does Cycle of Phantasia II end?**

On October 29, 2026, when Cycle III (Age of Axes, Skirmishers’ Æthillu and Inorganic Fervor) takes over. Season of Phantasia itself ends on November 5.

**What does the 700 SP rule on Glaiver File: Yinglung actually do?**

Your team starts the fight with 700 SP and can hold up to 700, but all SP recovery and regeneration is cut by 50%. In practice you get a large opening bank and a slow refill, which rewards front-loading damage.

**Do I need to kill the Prisms on Wall of Shields?**

No. Only the Quillbeast Blightshade has to die. Prisms respawn after each kill and do not count toward completion.

**What triggers the Silver Watercutter buff?**

Applying Arts Infliction 20 times in the fight. After that, every operator gains +50% Final DMG Dealt for the rest of the stage.

**What are the Brutal bonus challenge timers?**

Glaiver File: Yinglung and Wall of Shields: clear within 2 minutes. Silver Watercutter: clear within 3 minutes.
