Vol. 10 of The Traveller’s Guide to Talos-II is narrated by Si herself and tours Si’s Painting, the 1.6 map arriving October 15: Pinesmoke Basin, Yuanyuan Manor and Flying White Peak, where Dijiang stands on the summit.

This time the Wuling Travel Service gets crossed out on its own cover. Si’s name replaces it, and her pitch is simple: who knows her home better than she does? Below is each stop in plain terms, plus what it tells you about the [Sanctuary of Ink](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/sanctuary-of-ink-recap-endfield-1-6-banners-and-dates) story.

## TL;DR: Key Points

* **Tour guide:** Si, the Sui Proxy who painted this world. She has crossed out “Wuling Travel Service” on the cover and written her own name over it.
* **The place:** Si’s Painting is a whole world she painted into existence, and also her home. She can hang it anywhere, and she keeps it next to the **North Wuling Exclusion Zone** so she can keep watch for HAS.
* **Stop 1, Pinesmoke Basin:** a lake and waterfall that serve as the painting’s front door. Si has sealed the entrance, so no one can see it without her permission.
* **Stop 2, Yuanyuan Manor:** the inn she opened inside the painting. It is the home of the [Yuanyuan’s Blazing Stoves inn mode](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/endfield-yuanyuan-manor-inn-guide-blazing-stoves).
* **Stop 3, Flying White Peak:** the highest peak in the painting, with **Dijiang** standing upright on top. Si painted it there to help heal the Endministrator.

## Of Course It’s Called Si’s Painting

Si can bring anything she imagines to life with a few brushstrokes, and she painted an entire world that way. She calls it convenient: paint it, then hang it wherever you like. She hung hers beside the North Wuling Exclusion Zone, so she can keep an eye on things for HAS while she is at home.

As for the name, she insists “Si’s Painting” is “profound simplicity”, not laziness. She painted it, so it is hers, and it is not a tourist attraction that needs a brand. The guide makes it clear she protests a little too much.

## Stop 1: Pinesmoke Basin

_“Pinesmoke drifts on water, lakelight shimmers on clouds.”_

Pinesmoke Basin is quiet most of the year. It gets busy in spring and autumn, when the water is good and people come to fish. Si treats the lake as her **front door** and a natural barrier. She added towering peaks and pines across the water to frame the painting’s entrance.

Don’t expect to swim in. Si mentions someone from Yinglung Pass who dove in, and says she has since **sealed the entrance**, so no one can even see it without her permission. She does not want another visitor writing a travelogue and spreading the word. Above the entrance she inscribed a line she is clearly proud of: “Long have I pursued the arts of brush. Thus create I, the Inkstone Wash.”

## Stop 2: Yuanyuan Manor

_“With every stroke, a world unfolds. A fated gathering, as fate foretold.”_

Si opened an inn inside the painting, **Yuanyuan Manor**, because the mountains and rivers were too pretty to leave quiet. The inn is usually busy, and her assistants keep it running while she is away. By her own account they are not reliable:

* the **receptionist** slacks off at every chance
* the **cook** is painfully slow
* the **order taker** can barely speak when strangers are around

She does not say whether the staff are real people or **Ink Spirits**. Her answer is that you are already inside a painting, so it hardly matters what is real. She has also set aside a **guest room** for the Endministrator with a mountain view. In typical Si fashion, she adds “don’t get the wrong idea”.

Scribbles she left around the manor have a way of developing minds of their own. She also says people she has painted are hidden around the inn, waiting for you to find them. Expect a small hunt for collectibles or NPCs when the map opens.

The manor is also where the inn mode runs. For Stove Fire, Full Blaze, Gourmands and the star rating, see our [Yuanyuan inn guide](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/endfield-yuanyuan-manor-inn-guide-blazing-stoves).

## Stop 3: Flying White Peak

_“A lone cloud cast adrift, Dijiang afloat high above.”_

Yes, **Dijiang really is on the mountaintop**. Si says it sits on the painting’s highest peak, an idea she and the Endministrator came up with together long ago, though she is sure they don’t remember it. To heal the Endministrator’s injuries she needed something connected to them, and their home base was the obvious choice. Her one regret is that she could not paint Dijiang at full scale.

There is a gap on the painted Dijiang, and she invites the Endministrator to climb up with her. Past the narrow gorge at Flying White Peak, she says, they may find the answer to their question. That points straight at the 1.6 main story, where Si brings the Endministrator into the painting to treat the Æther mark left after the fight with Alleikhreos.

And why is Dijiang standing upright? Because a painting has to look good, and Si says it would not look good lying on its side on a mountain.

## Why This Matters Right Now

* **It is the map preview for 1.6.** Si’s Painting is the story area of Sanctuary of Ink, which launches October 15 with the Steam release. These three stops are where the chapter takes place.
* **It sets up the main story.** The guest room, the healing plan and the climb to the gap on Dijiang all lead into the 1.6 story about the Endministrator’s injury.
* **It is pure Si.** The proud inscription, the “it’s not lazy” naming and the grumbling about her staff match the personality in her [operator showcase](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/si-operator-showcase-skills-profile-arknights-endfield). For who she is and the ten years she waited, read our [Si lore post](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/si-hongshan-guard-sarkaz-dream-traveler-lore).
