Two limited 6-stars are live in Arknights: Endfield at the same time, and they draw on the same Oroberyl. **Typhoeus**, the Nature Striker on **Winter Hunt**, has five days left. **Yvonne**, the Cryo Striker back on **Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor Headhunting #1**, opened yesterday and has about three weeks. Both sit in the SS tier of our [tier list](https://endfieldhub.org/tier-list). So the choice between them comes down to their banner rules, what you already own and how much Oroberyl you have.

This post covers that decision only. For each operator on her own, see the [Typhoeus worth-it verdict](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/typhoeus-worth-it-reasons-to-pull-endfield) and the [Yvonne RE-Factor rerun breakdown](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/re-factor-headhunting-yvonne-rerun-endfield).

## TL;DR - Key Points

* **Winter Hunt ends September 30, 2026.** Your progress toward Typhoeus’s 120-attempt featured guarantee is deleted when it closes. Only the 80-attempt 6-star pity moves on.
* **Resplendent Spectrum runs until the next version update**, expected around October 15\. Attempts toward Yvonne’s guarantee carry over to future Resplendent Spectrum banners.
* **The counters are separate.** Pulls on one banner never count toward the other.
* **Official RE-Factor rules are out.** Yvonne’s 120 guarantee triggers only once across the whole Resplendent Spectrum series, and the 30 free Urgent Recruitment pulls do not count toward it.
* **Own Arcane? Pull Typhoeus.** Every top Typhoeus team runs her, and Arcane is also on Winter Hunt’s off-rate pool.
* **Own a Cryo core, or a newer account? Pull Yvonne.** Last Rite, Tangtang and Xaihi are her partners, and her six-operator pool is best for accounts that are still filling their roster.
* **If you want both, do Typhoeus first.** She has the deadline, and Yvonne’s banner is still live after it passes.
* **Can only afford one and own neither core?** Yvonne. Her value doesn’t depend on a second limited operator, and a short run on her banner is not wasted.

| Cost of a guaranteed copy | 60,000 Oroberyl | 60,000 Oroberyl |

The table shows two things. The cost is the same, 120 attempts at 500 Oroberyl each, so price does not separate them. The difference is in the “Featured guarantee” row. Typhoeus’s guarantee expires with her banner. Yvonne’s guarantee stays on your account until you use it.

## The Rule That Decides Most Accounts: What Happens to Unfinished Pity

This is the part most comparisons skip, and it matters more than the tier list.

**On Winter Hunt, partial progress is lost.** Suppose you reach 90 attempts without Typhoeus. On October 1 you still have your 80-attempt pity count for the next Chartered banner, and your 90 attempts toward the featured guarantee are gone. You paid 45,000 Oroberyl and got an off-rate 6-star or nothing.

**On Resplendent Spectrum, partial progress is kept.** Suppose you reach 90 attempts without Yvonne. Those attempts carry to the next Resplendent Spectrum banner, so you start that banner 90 attempts into the 120 guarantee. The official rules confirm this carryover.

So the two banners reward opposite approaches:

* **Typhoeus:** reach 120 before September 30 or don’t start. Stopping partway is the worst outcome on this banner.
* **Yvonne:** you can pull as Oroberyl comes in. Stopping partway costs you less because the attempts stay on the counter.

That is why the “want both” order is fixed. Do the banner with the deadline first, then use the banner that keeps your progress for whatever you have left.

### The once-per-series catch on Yvonne

The official rules add one limit. Yvonne’s 120-attempt guarantee **can only trigger once across all Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor banners**, and the 30/60/90 bonus pulls are also once per series. Unused bonus pulls carry forward.

In practice this matters mostly for veterans thinking about later banners. Carryover is one guarantee that you choose when to spend, not a new guarantee on every banner. If you spend it here on Yvonne, you won’t have it on Resplendent Spectrum #2 or #3\. Nobody knows yet who those banners will feature, so the question is whether Yvonne is the Resplendent Spectrum operator you want most.

## Team Fit: Which One Your Roster Wants

Both are strong, so the better pull is the one your current roster can support.

| You already own | Pull | Why |
| --------------------------------- | ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Arcane** | Typhoeus | Every top Typhoeus team runs Arcane. Her best tested team (Arcane, Xaihi, Gilberta) bursts the Effigy boss in about 30 seconds |
| **Last Rite** | Yvonne | Last Rite, Yvonne, Gilberta, Ardelia is our Cryo-Nature Executioners boss team, about 52 seconds single target |
| **Tangtang** | Yvonne | Tangtang’s full-screen time stop gives Yvonne a clean window for her crit-based ultimate |
| **Gilberta and Xaihi only** | Either | Both carries use them. The tiebreaker is who you would rather build the rest of the team around |
| **Fluorite and Antal, no Arcane** | Lean Yvonne | They are free Nature Infliction sources, but Typhoeus without Arcane tests near 47K single-target team DPS against about 71K with her |
| **Nothing relevant, new account** | Yvonne | Her pool is small and full of operators you do not own, so almost any off-rate is a new operator |

Two notes on the numbers. The Typhoeus figures come from community single-target calculations with signature weapons that leave stagger out. The Yvonne clear times come from our [team tier list](https://endfieldhub.org/team-tier-list) and use a different test setup. Use them to compare teams for the same carry, not to compare Typhoeus against Yvonne.

### What each one brings that the other does not

**Typhoeus** is a steady, multi-target Nature Burst engine. About 73 percent of her damage is Nature Bursts, she hovers above ground attacks during her Battle Skill, and her aerial loop strips the shield stacks on the new Snowy Forest enemies without needing a finisher. She plays best in [Contingency Contract](https://endfieldhub.org/contingency-contract) style content where you rarely get a clean burst window.

**Yvonne** is a single-target boss killer. Her Battle Skill consumes Cryo and Nature Inflictions to force Solidification, and her ultimate stacks Crit Rate and Crit DMG into an execution window. She attacks from 10 meters, which keeps her out of most melee danger. She is the better pick for content that ends in one big boss with a clear burst window.

If your weak spot is being swarmed at close range, pick Typhoeus. If your weak spot is boss HP checks, pick Yvonne.

## Off-Rate Value: A Losing 50/50 Pays Out Differently

Your account age changes how much a losing 50/50 hurts.

**Winter Hunt’s off-rate pool includes two recent limited operators, Liino and Arcane,** next to the standard five. For a veteran who skipped 1.4, losing the 50/50 to Arcane gets you the operator Typhoeus teams need most.

**Resplendent Spectrum’s pool is just the standard five plus Yvonne.** Ardelia is free to every account and the rest are standard-pool operators. A veteran will mostly get potential tokens. A new or returning account will mostly get new operators.

| Account | Better off-rate pool |
| ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| Veteran, missed Liino or Arcane | Winter Hunt |
| Veteran, owns everything | Winter Hunt, narrowly, for a Liino or Arcane dupe |
| New or returning, thin roster | Resplendent Spectrum |

## The Budget Plan

Everything costs 500 Oroberyl per attempt. Check your balance, then find your row.

| Oroberyl today | Plan |
| --------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Under 60,000** | Do not start Winter Hunt. You cannot reach 120 by September 30, and partial progress is lost. Put what you have into Yvonne if she fits your roster, or save it. Her attempts carry over, so a partial run is not wasted |
| **60,000 to 119,999, own Arcane** | Take Typhoeus to 120 this week. Then pull Yvonne with income until the pre-update maintenance, and let unfinished attempts carry forward |
| **60,000 to 119,999, no Arcane** | Yvonne, unless the hover and shield-strip utility is exactly what your account is missing. If you take Typhoeus anyway, reach 120 before you touch Yvonne |
| **120,000 or more** | Both. Typhoeus first because of the deadline, then Yvonne |
| **Already own Yvonne** | Typhoeus if you can reach 120, then Artzy Tyrannical on the weapon banner, which is guaranteed within 8 issues |

### Where the weapons fit

Buy the operator before her signature weapon, on both sides. For Typhoeus, the Protocol Pass weapon Suffering’s End measures at 76 percent of her signature, so you can hold off on the Deep Cold Issue. For Yvonne, Artzy Tyrannical is the cheaper signature this patch because it is guaranteed within 8 issues. If you already own Yvonne, it is often the best value of all four banners. Full weapon breakdowns are in the [Typhoeus build guide](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/typhoeus-build-guide-weapons-gear-teams-endfield) and the [Yvonne build guide](https://endfieldhub.org/blog/yvonne-complete-guide-endfield-1-0).

## Common Mistakes This Week

* **Splitting 120 attempts across both banners.** Sixty on each gets you no guarantee on either, and the Typhoeus half is deleted on September 30.
* **Treating Yvonne like a banner that is about to end.** It runs about three more weeks and keeps your progress. You do not need to decide on Yvonne before you decide on Typhoeus.
* **Counting the free Urgent Recruitment pulls toward 120.** They do not count on either banner. Plan with paid attempts only.
* **Forgetting the once-per-series rule.** Carryover on Resplendent Spectrum is one guarantee you can use once, not a new guarantee on every banner.
* **Pulling Typhoeus without Arcane and expecting the top numbers.** The 71K figure needs Arcane. Without her, plan on about two thirds of that.
* **Pulling the weapon before the operator.** A signature with no one to hold it does nothing.

## Final Verdict

Pull **Typhoeus** if you own Arcane, or you are a veteran who would count Arcane or Liino as a good off-rate. Reach 120 before September 30, because this is the banner that deletes unfinished progress.

Pull **Yvonne** if your roster already has a Cryo core, if you are a newer account, or if you can only fund one banner and own neither core. Her banner runs longer, keeps your progress and does not depend on a second limited operator.

If you want both, do Typhoeus first, then Yvonne. Whatever you have not finished on Yvonne when her banner closes carries to the next Resplendent Spectrum banner, as long as you remember that the guarantee pays out only once per series.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Should I pull Typhoeus or Yvonne in Arknights: Endfield?**Pull Typhoeus if you own Arcane or plan to chase her, because every top Typhoeus team runs Arcane. Pull Yvonne if you already have a Cryo core such as Last Rite, Tangtang or Xaihi, or if you are a newer account, since her six-operator pool is full of operators you probably do not own yet. If you can only afford one and own neither Arcane nor a Cryo core, Yvonne is the safer pick because her attempts carry over and Typhoeus’s featured guarantee does not.

**When do the Typhoeus and Yvonne banners end?**Winter Hunt (Typhoeus) ends September 30, 2026\. Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor Headhunting #1 (Yvonne) opened September 24, 2026 at 12:00 server time and runs until the maintenance before the next version update, which is expected around October 15 but not yet officially dated.

**Do pulls on the Typhoeus banner count toward Yvonne?**No. Winter Hunt is Chartered Headhunting and Resplendent Spectrum is RE-Factor Headhunting. They are separate systems with separate counters, so attempts on one never advance the other.

**What happens to my Typhoeus pity after September 30?**Your progress toward the 80-attempt 6-star guarantee moves to the next Chartered Headhunting banner. Your progress toward the 120-attempt featured guarantee is deleted when Winter Hunt closes. That is why partial pulls on Typhoeus are the most expensive mistake you can make this week.

**Does Yvonne’s RE-Factor pity carry over?**Yes. Attempts toward the 120-attempt featured guarantee carry over to future Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor Headhunting banners. The official rules also state that the guarantee can only trigger once across all Resplendent Spectrum banners, so once it pays out it does not pay out again on a later banner in the series.

**Do the free Urgent Recruitment pulls count toward the 120 guarantee?**No. The 10 bonus Urgent Recruitment attempts at 30, 60 and 90 attempts on Resplendent Spectrum do not count toward the guarantee, and the bonus only triggers once across the whole series. Budget 120 paid attempts for a guaranteed Yvonne and treat the 30 free pulls as extra rolls.

**How much Oroberyl do I need for both Typhoeus and Yvonne?**About 120,000 Oroberyl, which is 120 attempts on each banner at 500 per attempt. Because Yvonne’s banner runs until the next version update and her attempts carry over, you do not need all of it today. You need 60,000 for Typhoeus by September 30 and the rest by the time Resplendent Spectrum closes.

**I already own Yvonne. What should I pull?**Typhoeus, if you can reach her 120 floor by September 30, and then the Tag Artist Issue weapon banner for Artzy Tyrannical, which is guaranteed within 8 issues. Your Yvonne off-rates would mostly be potential tokens, while Winter Hunt’s off-rate pool includes two recent limited operators, Liino and Arcane.
