* Overview
Material farming in Arknights: Endfield splits into three channels: Sanity-based dungeons, open-world gathering, and AIC factory automation. Understanding which materials come from where - and the most efficient way to get them - prevents progression bottlenecks. This guide merges data from every major source into one complete reference.
Sanity System
Farming Priority by Stage
Where to spend your limited Sanity each day, ranked by progression impact.
Early Game (Level 1-25)
Mid Game (Level 25-40)
Late Game (Level 40+)
All Materials - Where to Farm
Key materials in Arknights: Endfield come from four sources: dungeons (skill materials, weapon EXP, essences), open-world gathering (ores from Mining Rigs, rare growths), AIC factory production (Batteries, Buckflower Capsules, Industrial Explosives for Stock Bills), and weekly shops (Stock Redistribution for weapons and resources).
Operator EXP (Combat Records)
Level operators from 1 to max. Combat Records come in multiple tiers of increasing EXP value.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Focus on one main DPS first - a level 60 carry beats four level 30 operators
- * Don't dedicate ALL Sanity to EXP stages - story stages give plenty naturally
- * Cognitive Carriers are scarce. Use them only on 6-star operators you'll main
Operator Breakthrough (Ascension)
Promote operators at level 20/40/60/80 brackets. Each breakthrough raises the level cap and unlocks new skills.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Breakthrough materials are character-element specific at higher tiers
- * Stock Redistribution shop resets weekly - always buy breakthrough mats first
- * Don't promote every operator. Focus on your core team of 4-6
Skill Materials
Level skills from 1-9 with universal materials, then master beyond 9 with specialized items. Skills are the single biggest damage increase per resource spent.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Skills give the highest damage-per-resource return. Prioritize over level-ups after 40
- * Level main DPS skills to 9 before touching support skills
- * Mastery materials are very scarce - only master your absolute core carry
Weapon EXP (Arms INSP Kit)
Weapon experience materials to level weapons. Arms INSP Kits come in three tiers.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Weapon levels are cheap damage boosts - level your main DPS weapon to max early
- * Don't level 4-star weapons past 40 if you plan to replace them soon
- * 6-star signature weapons are worth maxing. 5-star weapons are worth leveling if no 6-star alternative
Weapon Breakthrough (Ascension)
Breakthrough materials to raise weapon level caps at 20-level brackets. Uses Cast Die items.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Two Cast Die varieties exist - check which your weapon needs before farming
- * Weapon breakthrough mats are farmed near the Originium Byproduct Processing Center on the map
Essences (Gems)
Stat-boosting items equipped on weapons. Each weapon holds one Essence. Farming essences with good substats is the endgame grind.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Don't farm essences before Authority Level 40 - the drops are too low quality
- * Prioritize 3-piece set bonuses matching your DPS element (Hot Work for Heat, Tide Surge for Cryo, etc.)
- * Combine three bad essences into one higher rank - never discard without combining first
- * Essences only give bonuses when stats match weapon properties - check before equipping
Lumen (Gold Currency)
Universal currency used for upgrades, crafting, and purchases. Required in large quantities for late-game enhancement.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Lumen feels abundant early but becomes a bottleneck in late game
- * Don't dedicate Sanity to Lumen farming early - story gives enough
- * Late game: do dedicated Lumen Harvest runs when upgrading multiple gear pieces
Deep Dive Materials (Endgame)
Five rare endgame materials found at fixed overworld locations. Required for final character breakthroughs and mastery. Each location drops a fixed primary material plus random secondary drops from the other four.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * These locations have fixed primary drops PLUS random secondary drops from the other four materials
- * Reset is weekly - do ALL five locations every week even if you don't need them yet
- * Mark these locations on the interactive map for quick reference
- * Requires operators at level 80+ to fight the guardians
Rare Growths (Overworld Gathering)
Rare plants and fungi found at fixed overworld locations. Required for character promotions and weapon upgrades. Respawn every ~3 real-life days.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Rare growths have distinct map icons - track them like objectives
- * Respawn cycle is approximately 3 real-life days
- * Skipping these creates sudden progression walls later. Gather on cooldown.
- * Explore newly unlocked map zones immediately for additional nodes
- * Use our Interactive Map to locate all gathering nodes
Ores (Mining)
Mineral resources mined from nodes across the map. Used in AIC factory production and direct crafting. Can be mined manually or automated with Mining Rigs.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Set up Electric Mining Rigs with Electric Pylons connected to Relay Towers for passive ore collection
- * Amethyst is the bottleneck ore - only 4 known locations. Prioritize amethyst mining rig placement.
- * Ferrium is the most abundant (17 spots) but you'll need huge quantities for factory production
- * Wuling mining yields max 90 Ferrium Ore/min - plan factory ratios accordingly
- * Take over ALL available mining nodes as you discover them
AIC Factory Products
Finished goods produced through factory automation. Trade these for Stock Bills at the Outpost. The factory system is Endfield's signature feature.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Factory production continues offline - always queue before logging off
- * Batteries should be your first production line (foundation for everything)
- * Buckflower Capsules are the earliest Outpost trade items available
- * Industrial Explosives have the highest Stock Bill value per unit
- * All recipes ultimately require Amethyst Fiber - establish amethyst processing first
Stock Bills (Outpost Currency)
The critical mid-to-late game currency earned by trading factory products at the Outpost. Used to buy upgrade materials, trust gifts, and system upgrades. Start earning early.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Start outpost trading as early as possible - Stock Bills gate endgame upgrades
- * Stock Redistribution shop resets weekly. Top priority purchases: Protohedrons, Breakthrough Mats, then Lumen
- * Increase Regional Development Level to boost mining purity and trade efficiency
- * Operator Liaison bonuses from the outpost provide passive buffs - assign operators to roles
Consumables (Food & Buffs)
Crafted consumables that provide temporary combat buffs. Critical for clearing endgame content. Require farming specific ingredients and building eco farms.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * Ginseng Meat Stew is the strongest combat food. Stock up before hard content.
- * Complete the 'Burdenbeast Tales' side quest from Lifeng early - unlocks Burdo-Much fertilizer
- * Build ziplines from your base to eco farms to reduce travel time
- * Eco Farm setup: Relay Tower → Pylons → Fluid Pumps at water source → Sprinklers with water pipes → Pipe Splitters for multi-direction
- * Auto Farm Blueprint Codes: EFO01u8U47O48E09UAoOU (Asia) / EFO014o5IA0au831E71A (NA)
Plantable Resources (AIC Farming)
Plants that can be gathered or grown in the AIC. Used as inputs for factory production chains.
Materials
Where to Farm
Tips
- * AIC Infinite Duplication: Place 1 Seed Picking Unit with 2 Planting Units. Route one output back to the Seed Picker, surplus to storage.
- * Sandleaf Powder is the endgame bottleneck material. Set up Sandleaf farming ASAP.
- * Citrome can be infinitely duplicated: Planting Unit output → split: half to Seed Picking Unit (recycle), half to Depot (storage)
- * Separate your Buckflower and Echotin self-feeding systems for cleaner production
- * Yazhen requires the Hydroponic AIC research node to be unlocked first

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I farm first in Arknights: Endfield?
Push story stages first for free currency and system unlocks. Then prioritize Skill Materials (biggest damage increase per Sanity), followed by Operator EXP for your main DPS only. Don't spread resources across too many operators early.
How does the Sanity system work in Endfield?
You recover 1 Sanity every 7.2 minutes (about 200 per day naturally), with a max cap of 1000. Daily tasks give Emergency Sanity Boosters for extra runs. At World Level 5, Hunter Mode unlocks double rewards for double cost. Never let Sanity cap - even suboptimal spending beats wasted recovery.
What are the best AIC factory items to produce?
Start with Batteries (foundation for everything), then Buckflower Capsules (easy Stock Bills), then Industrial Explosives (highest Stock Bill value). In Wuling, transition to Xiranite production for Level 70 gear and Yazhen Syringe C for maximum trade value.
How do I farm Deep Dive materials?
Five fixed overworld locations reset weekly, each dropping a specific endgame material plus random secondary drops. Requires level 80+ operators. Locations: Mines Cable Car Station (D96 Steel), Power Plateau (Photoemission Tube), Tianshi Bureau rooftop (Quadrant Fitting), Jingyu Valley (Tachyon Lattice), Bureau of Swordmancers (Nanoflake). Do ALL five weekly.
Where do I get Redjade Ginseng for consumables?
One natural spawn exists south of Wuling City at Market Leaf. After collecting it, buy 5 Redjade Ginseng Seeds daily from the NPC next to Wellmorin at Wuling Market. Set up an Eco Farm with Relay Tower, Pylons, Fluid Pumps, and Sprinklers for automated production.
What is the most efficient Sanity spending strategy?
Early: Story stages > Skill Materials > Operator EXP. Mid: Skill Materials > Weapon EXP > Essence dungeons. Late: Artificing Materials > Essence farming for substats > Event stages. Always use Hunter Mode (2x rewards for 2x cost) after World Level 5.
