Overview

Laevatain is Endfield's premier AoE burst DPS who excels at mob clearing and wave management. She's a complete operator even without any duplicates, making her accessible for all players.

Her main strength comes from her Ultimate, which provides sustained AoE damage that can cross into enemy waves. When Ultimate is active, she's one of the best damage dealers in the game.

However, she struggles significantly when her Ultimate is down, dealing what players call 'tickle damage.' You'll need to manage her Melting Flame stacks carefully to maintain uptime.

How to Play

Your goal is to build up 4 Melting Flame stacks as quickly as possible. These stacks are essential for maximizing your damage and recharging Ultimate Energy efficiently.

Start battles with your Battle Skill and Combo Skill to stack Melting Flame. Once you have 4 stacks, use them with your Battle Skill for massive AoE damage and Ultimate Energy restoration.

During Ultimate, your basic attacks are enhanced and deal significant Heat DMG. The Sviga Lævi strikes alongside you, with sequence 3 attacks also applying Heat Infliction.

• *Normal Attack - Flaming Cinders: Up to 5-hit sequence dealing Heat DMG. Final Strike adds 18 Stagger when controlled.
• *Battle Skill - Smouldering Fire: Summons Magma Fragment for continuous attacks and Melting Flame stacks. 4 stacks trigger additional AoE attack with Combustion.
• *Combo Skill - Seethe: Triggers on Combustion/Corrosion. Fire erupts under affected enemies, granting Melting Flame stacks and Ultimate Energy per hit.
• *Ultimate - Twilight: Transforms into controlled operator with enhanced basic attacks. Sviga Lævi strikes alongside for massive Heat DMG.

Best Weapons

Forgeborn Scathe is her signature weapon and best-in-slot. The Heat DMG +16% and 75% Basic Attack DMG boost after Ultimate perfectly complement her kit.

If you don't have her signature, Umbral Torch is a solid alternative. It provides the same Heat DMG bonus but with Arts DMG boost instead of Basic Attack DMG.

Best Gear Sets

Hot Work Set (3pc) is your best choice for daily play. The Arts Intensity +30 and Heat DMG +60% for 8s after applying Combustion significantly boost your damage output.

This set consistently outperforms Tide Surge in practical scenarios. The Combustion trigger lines up perfectly with Laevatain's natural gameplay flow.

Essence Stats

Prioritize ATK% and Physical DMG for your main stats. These directly amplify your Heat DMG output throughout all phases of combat.

For substats, focus on CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG to maximize burst potential. Additional ATK% is always valuable for raw damage scaling.

Team Compositions

Wulfgard is essential for maintaining Melting Flame stacks efficiently. His Heat Infliction application helps you reach 4 stacks faster and sustain them through extended fights.

Ardelia provides excellent sustain and debuffs, making her one of the best support partners. Antal offers damage amplification, while Akekuri serves as a battery for faster Ultimate cycling.

Tips & Tricks

• *Ultimate Energy carries over between fights, but Melting Flame stacks do not. Plan accordingly when moving between encounters.
• *In material farming, mobs might die before your Ultimate ends. Consider a 4-piece Ultimate gain setup for better comfort at the cost of damage.
• *At P0, you typically need 2 Battle Skills to reach 4 Melting Flame stacks for full Ultimate recharge.
• *Laevatain cannot gain SP while her Ultimate is active, so plan your skill usage before activating it.
• *The Re-Ignition talent provides a safety net at low HP with 90% Protection and HP recovery, useful for survivability.

Skill Priority

Level up your Ultimate and Battle Skill equally - these are your primary damage sources. The Ultimate provides the massive AoE burst, while the Battle Skill maintains your Melting Flame stacks.

Combo Skill comes next as it helps with stack generation and Ultimate Energy recovery. Normal Attack is your lowest priority since it's mainly used outside your Ultimate window.
