Character Profile
“Wind speed's okay. Visibility's good. Perfect weather for snowboarding.”
Snowshine is a search-and-rescue specialist seconded to Endfield Industries under a framework agreement with Rhodes Island, a crossover operator from the original Arknights. Her expertise in low-temperature operations and polar and high-altitude terrain makes her especially useful as frontier expansion picks back up. Warm-hearted and altruistic, she throws herself into rescue work, has a genuine love of snowy landscapes, and has turned helping others and doing charity into second nature.
Snowshine Lore & Story
OripathyOripathy negative, based on medical examination reports.
Operator Snowshine works for Rhodes Island. As a SAR professional, she has engaged in multiple search and rescue (SAR) missions jointly carried out by Rhodes Island and Endfield Industries, resolving a range of complex issues in the process. Snowshine now serves as Endfield Industries' SAR liaison.
Operator Snowshine has, in multiple occasions, demonstrated her extensive experiences in conducting SAR operations in the north. She has proved the value of her survival skills and her ability to quickly respond to various contingencies. Snowshine enthusiastically recounted her successful SAR mission rescuing the Oathkeepers and polar caravans, highlighting her careful planning, precise execution, and strategic decisions in overcoming natural hazards. Snowshine's engineering background gives her vital technical expertise that has been key in her SAR missions. The operator is extremely passionate and dedicated to her work. Her deep experience in both engineering and SAR operations makes her a valuable asset to Endfield.Martin Marvin Malen, Assistant, HR Division, Endfield Industries
What do I think of the north? Worst place ever ... I swear! I seriously messed up agreeing to join Rooter on his hunt for that mysterious Sami vendor out in the middle of nowhere! We went over the first snowpeak and were barely two days into the north when some Blighted snowstorm "caught" us at the foot of the mountains! I will never forget the sight of an entire burdenbeast being swooshed away by the Blight-tainted snow. The only thing on my mind was: "Blasted blightery! I'm gonna die here..." But I guess I saved up enough luck for the past decade or so! The snowstorm was just meters away from us when an Ursus girl swooped in from the skies — I kid you not! She flew in on a snowboard, pulled off a perfect landing next to us, slammed a shield on the ground, and suddenly a wall of ice appeared with a WOOSH! That wall kept the snowstorm away! Anyway, she saved both Rooter and me. She escorted us into a cave that she called our temporary shelter. And there were all sorts of people there... Oathkeepers, Seš'qa caravan drivers, and even Landbreakers!
A private letter
Eyrwin: Maybe I should call you Snowshine now. In any case, please forgive me for not saying goodbye when I left the team... That was never my intention. But my captain and my attending surgeon, Margarit, told me to leave the north immediately. They said it would prevent my hallucinations from getting worse. Kjersch is a beautiful city. We don't see any auroras here but there are equally majestic mountains in snow. The ridges are untouched by the Blight or the Aggeloi, and are linked by criss-crossing cable tramways that the city is so famous for — I took quite a few rides in them, and the experience of gazing into the vast snowfields without worry is unforgettable... You must have been surprised by my decision. Someone who had sworn to stay in the north and the SAR team for eternity ... was suddenly beaten by a most mundane and ordinary blizzard. What I want to say is that sometimes people are not as strong as they like to think. Perhaps I'm actually more fragile than I think I was.
After joining Endfield, it only took a few months for Miss Snowshine to give many operators a friendly and warm impression. Snowshine often helps others in her spare time, usually with simple errands and deliveries. Though they may seem small, these tasks often prove to be real lifesavers, making people truly grateful to have Snowshine around. "...That bottle of vinegar Miss Snowshine delivered was just in time. My sweet and sour meat would have been ruined without it!" reported the canteen chef. Miss Snowshine also spared no effort trying to popularize SAR knowledge and polar survival skills, and often gave everyone proper demonstrations — these include crucial first-aid procedures as well as quick turn techniques for snowboarding. "BY TALOS...! How did she do that? The last time I saw such a beautiful turn was ... during the finals of the Band Snowboard Championships! She's a guaranteed medalist if she ever attends, I'll bet my money on this!" said an anonymous operator after watching Snowshine's demonstration.

Protection, Treatment and returns at this build
Snowshine is a Defender, so this is where most of her value sits. Polar Rescue fires when the controlled operator drops below 60% HP and scales off her Will, which is why Will and Treatment Efficiency lines matter more than ATK for a support build.

Calculator assumptions
Every number uses a Level 90 Snowshine with all skills at Rank 12 and her talent nodes unlocked through breakthrough 4. Her base ATK, Strength, Will, Max HP, damage multipliers, Protection, Treatment coefficients, talents and potentials are all read from the committed client tables.
She is mixed element. Her basic chain, dash, dive and Finisher deal Physical DMG. The Saturated Defense retaliation bash and both parts of Frigid Snowfield deal Cryo DMG. That split comes from the skill descriptions in the client text, so a Physical DMG line lifts only the basic rows, a Cryo DMG line lifts only the skill rows, and a target's Physical and Cryo resistances are applied to their own rows.
Strength is her main attribute and Will is her secondary attribute. The ATK formula weights them at 0.005 and 0.002 respectively after every flat source and Main/Sub Stat Boost has been applied, then truncates both before calculating Final Build ATK. Her talent nodes grant Strength only; Potential 4 adds Will +20 and Defense +20, and Defense touches no row here.
Saturated Defense grants 90% Protection to her and nearby operators and returns 30 SP on cast. Its 450% retaliation bash only fires when an enemy attacks her while the shield is raised, and each successful bash adds Talent 2's Ultimate Energy (10 at Rank 2) and, at Potential 5, returns 10 SP. Frigid Snowfield is a 450% slam plus a Snow Zone that ticks for 65% every 0.5s over 5s, so ten ticks on an enemy that stays inside.
Polar Rescue treatment is 216 plus 0.50 times her Will on impact, then 54 plus 0.13 times her Will every 0.5s for 3s. Treatment Efficiency, any weapon combo-treatment line and Talent 1 are each applied as their own multiplier. Talent 1 is a Treatment Effect bonus on the treated operator (+25% at 55% HP or below at Rank 2), and since Polar Rescue only triggers below 60% HP it is on by default; switch it off for a target between the two thresholds.
Ordinary hits run the complete Talos Wiki damage chain. The forced Solidification row uses the Arts Reaction formula: 80% plus 80% per level, then the level-90 Hidden Multiplier and the Arts Intensity Multiplier. The level of a forced Solidification is not stored in any table, so it is an input. Arts Intensity does nothing to an ordinary hit. Expand any row to inspect the active factors.
Still excluded: the SpecialBonus regional buff from teleportation waypoints, the unprinted forst_allow_count key on her Ultimate, Shatter triggered by teammates on her Solidified enemies (that damage is theirs), Stagger and poise values, rotation timing and DPS over time, multi-target hits, Khravengger's combo-skill Cryo line (her combo deals no damage), and any Protection or DMG Reduction from teammates.

Contingency Contract Fit
Test Criteria this kit handles well, since every criterion is a penalty or enemy buff and Snowshine sidesteps or shrugs these off. See the full dashboard for every modifier.
Thrill · Buffed enemy damage just feeds her reactive counter-attacks, turning the penalty into fuel.
Decapitate · Durable or ranged, so the extra damage on the active operator stays manageable.
Whittle Down · Avoids or absorbs incoming damage, limiting the Max HP erosion.
Withering · Brings its own sustain, so losing between-wave healing barely matters.
Hypoxia · Ranged or durable, so losing dodge and stamina hurts far less.
Toxic Residue · Ranged or self-sustaining, so the lingering toxin patches do little.
Partition · Self-sufficient carry that does not need to swap operators mid-fight.
