I can't find any way to open this gate, I've completed the story and every side quest I could find, but it seems like there's a reasonably sized area on the map behind this gate that it would be able to be opened for something. Can it be opened?

Unrelated tidbit: I loved how during the main mission I first tried to go that way (which was the wrong way), and Tangtang reacted to that.
