On the surface it reads like a straightforward rerun with generous extras: a small pool, thirty free pulls handed back at milestones, and attempt progress that survives the banner ending. Read the rules more carefully and there are two things in there that should change how you plan, and one of them is a catch rather than a bonus.

Strip the branding and RE-Factor Headhunting is a rerun banner with three structural changes bolted on.

The pool is small and published. Instead of a standard pool that grows with every patch, you get six named 6-stars and nothing else. You know exactly what you can hit before you spend anything.

Milestones pay you back. Three of them hand you bonus Urgent Recruitment attempts rather than materials, which is a real discount rather than a consolation prize.

Progress persists. Your attempt count and claim status follow you into later phases of the same named series, so #1, #2, and #3 are treated as one long banner rather than three separate gambles.

You still spend the same currency you always did, Chartered HH Permits or Oroberyl, and the banner runs from September 24 at 12:00 server time through the maintenance before the next version update. That is a long window by Endfield standards, which matters because it means you do not have to decide in the first week.

Resplendent Spectrum is the first named RE-Factor series, and the numbering is the tell that more phases are planned.

Six operators, six different classes, five different roles on the field. As pool design it is tidy: there is no dead weight in the sense of a 6-star nobody would ever field, and every one of them anchors a real team somewhere.

That tidiness is also what makes the pool misleading, and we will come back to it in a moment.

The Milestone Ladder

The milestone structure is where RE-Factor differs most visibly from what you are used to.

Two counters run in parallel here and they are easy to confuse. The 80 entry is the general 6-star guarantee, and it is about getting a 6-star out of those six. The 120 entry is the featured guarantee, and it is about getting Yvonne specifically. Hitting 80 and pulling Ember does not move you closer to the 120 payout, it just resets the general counter.

The practical read: 80 protects you from a dry streak, and 120 is the number that actually promises you the operator you came for.

The carryover clause is the headline feature, and it is also where the unresolved question lives.

The 30 Free Pulls Nobody Is Counting

Three milestones at 30, 60, and 90 attempts each return 10 bonus Urgent Recruitment attempts. That is thirty pulls, or three free 10-pulls, handed back inside your first ninety attempts.

Framed against the guarantee, that is a meaningful discount. The featured guarantee sits at 120 attempts, and you collect all thirty bonus pulls by attempt 90.

Which raises the question that decides how good this banner actually is, and which nobody has answered yet: do the bonus Urgent Recruitment attempts count toward the attempt counter?

• If they do, then 90 paid attempts plus 30 bonus attempts equals 120 total, and you have hit the featured guarantee having paid for three quarters of it. That is a 25% discount on a guaranteed 6-star, which would make this the most player-friendly banner Endfield has shipped.
• If they do not, the bonus pulls are thirty extra rolls at the base rate and nothing more, and you still need 120 paid attempts to force Yvonne.

The difference between those two readings is roughly thirty pulls of value. We are not going to guess which one is right. If you are planning around the 120 guarantee, this is the single most important line to look for when the full banner rules publish, and it is a good reason not to commit a large reserve in the first days.

The two rows that matter are the last few. A standard banner punishes partial investment, because 70 pulls that fail to land the rate-up buy you nothing but whatever you happened to hit, and then the counter wipes. RE-Factor keeps those 70 attempts on your account.

That is a real improvement and it is why this banner type is worth understanding rather than skimming. It is not, however, unqualified good news.

The Carryover Catch

Our own preview coverage framed the carryover as pure upside, and said partial investment in a RE-Factor banner is no longer a trap. On a closer read of the rules text, that needs a caveat.

The wording available indicates the featured 6-star guarantee can only trigger once across all RE-Factor Headhunting banners of the same name. If that is accurate, the carryover works like a single shared allowance rather than a renewing one:

• You pull Resplendent Spectrum #1, reach 120 attempts, and Yvonne is guaranteed to you.
• Resplendent Spectrum #2 arrives with a different rate-up operator.
• Your featured guarantee for that series has already been spent, so #2 offers you the 80 general guarantee and the milestone pulls, but no forced rate-up.

Under that reading, carryover is not a discount on every future banner in the series. It is one guarantee you can choose when to spend, and choosing Yvonne means not choosing whoever headlines #2 or #3.

Treat this as unconfirmed. It currently rests on a thin secondary source, our preview coverage described it differently, and Endfield has explicitly said fuller banner rules are coming in a dedicated announcement. We are flagging it rather than asserting it because the consequence is large enough to change a pull decision, and because “spend your guarantee carefully” is sound advice either way.

If the clause turns out to be wrong, RE-Factor is strictly better than a standard banner in every respect and you can pull freely. If it is right, the question stops being “is Yvonne worth 120 pulls” and becomes “is Yvonne the operator in this series I most want my one guarantee spent on.”

Is an Off-Rate Actually a Win Here?

This is where the six-operator pool deserves a second look, because “small pool means better off-rates” is true in the abstract and much weaker in practice.

Check the pool against what an established account already owns:

• Ardelia is free to every account. She is handed out through the login event, along with a free 6-star Arts Unit. If you have played more than a couple of weeks, you have her.
• Ember, Lifeng, Last Rite, and Pogranichnik are standard pool. They are obtainable without limited banners, and Pogranichnik and Last Rite are common 6-star selector picks precisely because they are reliable standard-pool targets.

So for a veteran roster, five of the six possible outcomes are operators you likely already own, which means most off-rate hits arrive as potential tokens rather than new units. Potential tokens are not worthless, and a first dupe on Ardelia is a genuinely nice amp bump, but they are a different class of reward from a new 6-star and you should price them that way.

For a new or returning account, the same pool is excellent. Every hit is plausibly a new operator, the classes barely overlap so almost anything you pull fills a hole, and the roster breadth you get from 120 attempts here beats what a standard banner would hand you.

The honest summary: the closed pool is a newcomer feature that reads like a veteran feature. Adjust your expectations by account age, not by pool size.

The Weapon Side: Artzy Tyrannical

The weapon banner gets the same treatment. [Tag Artist Issue] RE-Factor Issue #1 runs on the same window and rate-ups Artzy Tyrannical, Yvonne’s signature 6-star Handcannon.

The rules are unusually tight:

• Artzy Tyrannical is guaranteed within 8 issue attempts
• Past 8, milestones alternate between Arms Offering and further Artzy Tyrannical copies
• Attempts carry over into later Tag Artist Issue phases

Eight attempts for a guaranteed 6-star weapon is a small, predictable number, and the carryover means refinement copies accumulate rather than requiring a fresh gamble each phase. Exact counts past that first guarantee are still pending the official rules.

What you actually get is worth spelling out, because it is a rare case of a signature weapon where nothing is wasted:

Yvonne is an Intellect main with a Cryo kit that wants critical hits, so the substat, the secondary substat, the base skill line, and the conditional stack all point at her. The conditional triggers on a critical hit from a battle or combo skill, each stack is timed separately, and it can fire at most once every 0.1 seconds.

Eight attempts for a guaranteed signature weapon is the tightest number on offer in 1.5.

Should You Pull, By Player Type

• New or returning player without Yvonne: Pull. This is the best version of this banner for you. The pool is full of operators you do not own, Yvonne is a strong ranged Cryo Striker at 10.0m, and the milestone pulls lower the real cost. Aim for 120 attempts and treat everything before that as upside.
• Veteran who already owns Yvonne: Skip the operator banner, take the weapon banner. Your off-rates are mostly tokens, and Artzy Tyrannical at an 8-attempt guarantee upgrades an operator you already have rather than duplicating one.
• Veteran without Yvonne: This is the genuine decision, and it is the one the carryover catch bears on. If the featured guarantee really is once per series, ask yourself whether Yvonne is the Resplendent Spectrum operator you most want before you spend it. If you are unsure, the milestone pulls up to 90 are cheap value and you can stop there with progress banked.
• Player saving for a future limited: The carryover is your friend. Attempts you spend here are not lost, so a partial run of 30 or 60 for the bonus pulls costs you far less than the same partial run on a standard banner would.
• Player who just spent on Winter Hunt: You have three weeks between September 2 and September 24 to rebuild. Check your reserve against the 120 floor with our pity calculator before you assume you can do both.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Treating 80 and 120 as the same counter. They are separate. Hitting the 80 general guarantee and pulling Ember does nothing for your progress toward a guaranteed Yvonne.
• Assuming the bonus pulls count toward the milestones. Nobody has confirmed this. Plan on paid attempts and let the bonus be a surprise, rather than budgeting 90 and hoping it resolves to 120.
• Reading “carryover” as “no cost to stopping early.” Carryover preserves attempts, and if the once-only clause holds, spending the guarantee still costs you the guarantee on later phases.
• Buying the weapon banner before the operator. A signature Handcannon with nobody to hold it is a collection piece. Secure Yvonne first unless you already have her.
• Assuming a small pool means good off-rates. For an established account, five of the six outcomes are probably potential tokens. That is a real reward, but it is not a new operator.
• Committing your full reserve in week one. The banner runs to the pre-update maintenance and the official rules have not published yet. There is no reward for being early here.

What Would Change This Read

1. The official banner rules announcement. Endfield has said it is coming. It should settle whether the featured guarantee is once per series and whether bonus attempts count toward the counter, which are the two open questions driving everything above.
2. Confirmation that bonus Urgent Recruitment attempts advance the milestone counter. If they do, the effective cost of a guaranteed Yvonne drops to 90 paid attempts and this banner becomes a clear pull for far more accounts.
3. Who headlines Resplendent Spectrum #2. If the guarantee is once per series, the identity of the next rate-up is directly relevant to whether you spend it now. A stronger #2 makes skipping Yvonne correct for veterans.
4. Published per-pull rates for RE-Factor. The 5-star and 6-star base rates have not been stated separately from the standard banner. If they differ, the whole comparison table shifts.

Final Verdict

RE-Factor Headhunting is the most interesting thing in Version 1.5, and that includes the operators. A banner type where attempts persist across phases genuinely fixes the worst part of gacha planning, which is the sunk cost of a partial run.

The two caveats are worth carrying with you. The featured guarantee may be a single allowance across the whole Resplendent Spectrum series rather than a renewing one, which turns a discount into a choice. And the disclosed six-operator pool, which reads like a generosity feature, mostly benefits accounts that do not already own five of the six.

For a new or returning player, this is a straightforward yes: pull toward 120, enjoy the milestone pulls, and expect to come out of it with real roster breadth. For a veteran who already has Yvonne, take the weapon banner instead, because eight attempts for Artzy Tyrannical is the best-priced thing on offer this phase. For a veteran without her, wait for the official rules before you spend, because the answer genuinely depends on a clause nobody has confirmed yet.
