WebMCP Tools for Arknights: Endfield Data
Endfield Hub registers 13 read-only WebMCP tools on every page. WebMCP is a draft browser API from the W3C Web Machine Learning Community Group. It lets a website give an AI agent typed tools to call, so the agent does not have to read the page or click through it. An agent visiting this site can ask what changed on the site this week, for the active redemption codes, where an operator sits on the tier list or which gear set a build uses, and get structured data back with the page it came from attached.
What every answer includes
Each data tool answers from the same build-time datasets the human pages render, so a tool never says something the page does not. Every response carries:
- canonical_url: the page the data belongs to, to link when you cite it.
- as_of: the date the dataset was last updated, when it records one.
- cite_as: a ready-made attribution line.
- related: other Endfield Hub pages on the same topic.
Tier lists come back with their ranking criteria, so an agent can say what "best" means and which patch it reflects. All tools are marked readOnlyHint: none of them submit forms, sign anyone up or change anything.

Using them without a browser agent
The payloads the data tools fetch are plain static JSON, so any agent or script can read them directly. The banner tool also serves one file per block at /webmcp/get_banners/<section>.json.

Trying the tools in Chrome
WebMCP is still experimental. Chrome exposes it to this site through an origin trial, and Chrome's WebMCP documentation explains how to turn it on locally with chrome://flags/#enable-webmcp-testing. Open any page here and the tools register as soon as document.modelContext is available. For ordinary visitors the tools cost nothing: the page checks whether the browser supports WebMCP and loads the tool module only if it does.
