About operator demos

Operator demos are short combat showcases that capture each Arknights: Endfield character's full kit — basic chain, active skill, ultimate animation, and a representative rotation — in 60 to 120 seconds. The goal is simple: let you see how an operator actually plays before you commit pulls, instead of relying on stat-sheet skim or hype clips. Sources are official Hypergryph trailers and a vetted shortlist of community creators with clean, unmodded footage.

New demos appear within 24 to 48 hours of a banner reveal, with older characters backfilled when balance changes or new weapons make their kit relevant again. Demos pair best with our character tier list, team tier list, and full operator guides — watching a 90-second showcase tells you whether the playstyle clicks, then the written guides cover gear, teams, and pull priority for the current patch.

The set also covers limited-time event gameplay — for example, the current Early Access to Contingency Contract: Re-Ignition (CC#1) walkthrough with Risk 20 reward-tier strategy and a Risk 46 self-challenge run — so you can see how event mechanics actually play before queuing up your own.

[Song Lyrics & Introduction]

"this time greatness is upon us we're standing i'll turn my back to the darkness we're riding bright i couldn't run from the fight of my life i couldn't be a broken blade in the fist fight sharper the pain yeah the sharper the light all I know is I'm reite."

Hello guys! In this video, I'll show you an early access to contingency contract, showing you how the game works and its features. Just like the original Arknights, this game mode features a stage with very simple enemies, but they can become very, very strong depending on the risks you take.

[Core Mechanics: Risk and Test Criteria]

In Endfield, the term "risk" is changed to "test criteria," but to make it simple, I'll just call them contracts or risks. There are a huge variety of contracts you can take, from buffing enemies' HP and attack to debuffing your own units' statistics, such as reducing stamina recovery speed or entirely banning the dodge.

The contracts don't simply buff enemies or debuff yourself; there are contracts that add new mechanics, making the stage more challenging, like chilling your units when you perform certain actions. This increases a freezing timer, but it is dispelable using skills. Other mechanics include reducing combo skill cooldown at the cost of reducing skill damage.

[Rewards and F2P Accessibility]

You don't need to worry about the event being free-to-play friendly. From the early access server, the maximum contract level you need for all rewards is only Risk 20. While you can challenge higher contracts, that is mostly a self-challenge.

Achieving a Risk 20 is very simple because the game mode provides a wide variety of contracts to combine for your specific roster. For example, contracts like "damage taken by operators +100%" are essentially a gift to players with good dodge reactions — if the enemy can't hit you, these contracts pose no threat.

[Sample Runs and Strategies]

For a Risk 20 run, I take contracts that can be easily ignored, like less stamina recovery speed and increased enemy damage. However, some contracts — like less basic attack damage — are not friendly to specific characters like Levitain, so those players should avoid them.

I also tested a free-to-play squad without essences on their weapons. I used a contract that decreased damage from regular skills but increased all other non-basic / non-ultimate damage by 100%. This allowed reaction damage (like combustion and corrosion) to melt enemies. A squad with Wolfgard (combustion), Perica (electro infliction), and Della (corrosion) works very well under these conditions.

[High-Risk Challenges and Preparation]

I successfully cleared Risk 46 after several hours of trials. While it doesn't give more rewards than Risk 20, it is fun to challenge your limits.

To prepare for this event, you should get your units and weapons to level 90, etch your essence and artiface your gears, and pay close attention to skip points management and skill timing, especially when dealing with new mechanics.

[Conclusion]

"the voices inside your head i'll reach out and take you back from the edge the battle is calling us to our grace beneath the waves we fight back to the ending no ending in sight yeah i got you in my sight so I'm coming for you coming for you chaos on my mind."

Hope you like this video and see you in the next one. Bye!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Operator Demo Videos?

Operator Demo Videos showcase newly released Arknights: Endfield characters in action. These videos demonstrate skills, combat rotations, and gameplay mechanics to help you understand each operator before building them.

When are new demo videos added?

Demo videos are added within 24-48 hours of new operator releases. We prioritize S-tier and meta-relevant characters first.

What information do demo videos show?

Each demo video shows the operator's basic attacks, combat skills, ultimate ability, skill rotations, and practical gameplay examples in various combat scenarios.

Are these official videos?

Demo videos are sourced from official Arknights: Endfield channels and trusted community content creators. All videos are curated to ensure accuracy and quality.

More Questions about Demos

What is shown in each operator demo video?

Every demo captures the operator's full kit in a controlled environment: basic attack chain, the active skill window, ultimate ability animation and damage, and a short rotation example against a training target or live boss. Most clips are 60 to 120 seconds long — short enough to skim before deciding whether to pull, detailed enough to see how the kit feels in real combat rather than from a static stat sheet.

Where do the demo videos come from?

Sources are official Hypergryph channels (operator showcase trailers, beta demonstrations, livestream cuts) and a small whitelist of trusted community creators who consistently publish clean, unmodded combat footage. Each video is embedded with its YouTube source link so you can verify the publisher. We do not host or re-encode third-party clips on our servers; thumbnails link to the original upload.

How quickly do new operator demos appear here?

Operator demos go live within 24 to 48 hours of a new banner reveal. Hypergryph typically publishes a teaser on the day of the livestream and a full combat trailer the day before banner launch — we mirror both as soon as they hit YouTube. Older operators receive demo coverage when major balance changes, new weapons, or fresh team comps make their kit relevant again.

Should I use a demo as my only judgement before pulling?

No. A demo shows how a kit looks; it does not show DPS comparisons, team synergies, gear requirements, or the operator's place in the meta over a six-week patch. Watch the demo to see if the playstyle appeals to you, then cross-reference the character tier list, team tier list, and the operator's full guide before committing 120 pulls to a Spark.

Why is my favorite operator missing a demo?

Older operators released before this page existed are being backfilled gradually. Operators with limited public footage — typically beta-only characters who never received a polished trailer — sit lower in the queue because we have to source community gameplay clips with full attribution. If a specific operator's demo is missing and you want it prioritized, email contact@endfieldhub.org and we will bump them up the list.
