October 1 adds a sign-in worth 1,500 Oroberyl and two minigame events. October 5 opens the new Umbral Monument series. Four things share the same availability line in the update video: Sept. 24, 2026, 12:00 (server time), before version update and maintenance. That phrasing matters. It is not a fixed end date, it is “until the next patch,” so the closing bell moves with the 1.6 schedule rather than sitting on a calendar square.

Yvonne Returns on Resplendent Spectrum

This is the first RE-Factor Headhunting banner the game has run, and it is the reason the second half of 1.5 is worth budgeting for at all. Yvonne is the rate-up in a six-operator pool that was published up front, which is not how Endfield banners usually work.
Three things separate it from an ordinary rerun:
- The pool is small and disclosed. You know what you can hit before you spend.
- Milestone attempts hand pulls back. The 30, 60, and 90 attempt marks each return 10 Urgent Recruitment attempts, so 30 pulls are folded into the first 90.
- Attempt progress carries forward into later banners in the same named series, so stopping short is no longer dead spend.
There is a catch in the rules text about whether the 120-attempt featured guarantee can be claimed only once across the whole Resplendent Spectrum series. That is still unconfirmed, and it is the single detail most likely to change how much you should commit. Tag Artist Issue and Artzy Tyrannical

The weapon banner opens on the same clock. Artzy Tyrannical is Yvonne’s signature 6-star Handcannon, and the card confirms the three lines that matter:

There is no dead stat on it, which is rarer than it sounds. Plenty of signature weapons carry one line that only half applies.
Order of operations: pull the operator banner first unless you already own Yvonne. A signature weapon with nobody to hold it does nothing. If you pulled her back on Hues of Passion in 1.0, flip that around, because the weapon is the better value of the two for you.

Purrchena Is Free, and So Is Her Best Weapon

The giveaway event is the best value in the patch and it costs nothing. Complete Purry Big Feline! RAWR! and you receive:
- Purrchena, the 5-star Physical Defender, at max potential
- Dessert Moment, a 5-star sword, at max potential
Max potential on a free 5-star is the part worth pausing on. Potential copies are normally the expensive tail of a gacha roster, and this hands you the finished version in one claim. She is also the first Sword Defender in the game, so she does not compete with Ember, Snowshine, or Catcher for Great Sword drops.
The reason to actually build her rather than bench her: her Ultimate can apply Arts Susceptibility, which no other Defender does, and her recast Battle Skill applies Nature Infliction for free. That makes her a budget enabler for Nature carries, Typhoeus very much included.

Dessert Moment Is Her Best in Slot on Day One

The weapon card lists three lines, and all three land on Purrchena:

Because it is free, max potential, and mechanically aligned, there is no upgrade path to plan for. That is unusual. Most free operators arrive with a placeholder weapon you are expected to replace within a patch or two, which quietly turns a “free” unit into a pull cost later. This one does not.
Practical consequence: do not spend essences or Arsenal Issue attempts trying to find her something better. Put those resources into a unit whose weapon slot is actually open.
Echoing Bell of an Old City Opens Suiming

Suiming is the second new area of Version 1.5 after the Snowy Forest, and it is built differently from anything the game has shipped. It is a city-scale map designed as one continuous puzzle, with shifting water levels changing which routes are open and a time loop that rewinds on a cycle.
That last part changes how you should play it. A loop-based map punishes the usual approach of clearing everything you can see in one pass, because the map resets around you. October 1: Three Events, One of Them Actually Pays
A full week after the update, three more events open. Two are minigames. One is the largest confirmed Oroberyl block in the back half of the version.

Ridgeline Flows of Autumn is a limited-time 7-day sign-in. Complete all seven days and you collect:

1,500 Oroberyl is roughly two and a half 10-pulls, and critically it arrives after Resplendent Spectrum opens, so it is spendable on Yvonne. Seven-day sign-ins are also the single easiest thing to lose to a missed login, so diary it.

Runners’ Steeplechase is the Fun and Games entry. You either reach the finish line inside a time limit or gather a required number of Chubby Lung Balloons along the way, and rewards scale with how well you do. It is a movement and routing challenge rather than a combat one, which means your roster strength barely matters here. OrbiPom! MERGE! is the second Fun and Games event on the same date. The reveal is presentation only so far, with no mechanics attached beyond the name, which points at a merge-style puzzle minigame. Expect a cosmetic and currency payout rather than anything that touches your roster.
October 5: Marked by Dark Shadows

Two dated items here, and both are a day earlier than the version calendar graphic indicated:

The Monumental Etching window is the one to note, because it is fixed at two weeks rather than running to the next version. Endgame players who leave Umbral Monument to the last week of a patch have historically been fine. This one closes on October 19 regardless of when 1.6 lands.

Where Your Oroberyl Should Go
This depends almost entirely on what your account already looks like.
If you are new or returning: Resplendent Spectrum is a genuinely good deal. Four of the six operators in the pool are ones you probably do not own, the 30 milestone pulls are real value, and Yvonne is a strong Cryo Striker to anchor around. Spend here.
If you already own Yvonne: flip to Tag Artist Issue. The weapon guarantee is tight, every line on Artzy Tyrannical is live on her, and the operator banner mostly pays you in potential tokens.
If you are saving for 1.6: claim the 1,500 Oroberyl from the October 1 sign-in and do not spend it. Purrchena and Dessert Moment cost you nothing, so the free half of this patch still lands in full whether or not you pull at all.

Common Mistakes on Update Day
- Treating September 24 as the whole update. Three of the ten items above are October content, and two have fixed end dates.
- Skipping the giveaway because it is “just a 5-star.” Max potential plus a free max-potential weapon plus a unique team debuff is not a bench unit.
- Hunting a better weapon for Purrchena. Dessert Moment is her best in slot on arrival. Spend those resources elsewhere.
- Assuming the banners have a printed end date. They close at the next version’s maintenance, which has not been dated.
- Leaving Monumental Etching for the last week of the patch. It ends October 19, not when 1.6 starts.
- Planning around the 120 guarantee. The once-per-series clause is still unconfirmed. Do not build a budget on it.
What Would Change This
- Official Resplendent Spectrum rules text. If the 120-attempt featured guarantee really is once per series, the whole banner becomes a very different calculation for anyone planning to chase later phases.
- Whether milestone bonus attempts count toward the milestones. That detail is worth roughly 30 pulls and has not been confirmed.
- OrbiPom! MERGE! mechanics. Nothing is attached to it yet beyond the name and artwork.
- The 1.6 maintenance date. Every “before version update and maintenance” deadline on this page resolves the moment that is announced.
Final Read
The second half of Version 1.5 is unusually front-loaded on free value. Purrchena and Dessert Moment arrive finished, at no cost, and one of them is a best-in-slot weapon you will never replace. The October 1 sign-in adds 1,500 Oroberyl on top. You could ignore both banners entirely and still come out of this patch meaningfully further ahead than you went in.
The pull decision is narrower than it looks. Resplendent Spectrum is excellent for accounts that do not already own its pool and mediocre for accounts that do, and the one rule that would settle it is still not public.
