MI FU'S FUNNIEST MOMENTS IN ENDFIELD

Mi Fu's Funniest Moments in Endfield
Table of Contents

Mi Fu won her very first arena fight by biting her opponent. That is not fan exaggeration. Her own Master brings it up in the middle of a match in Mi Fu’s story chapter, and Mi Fu’s whole reply is “Yes, I remember that! Stop talking!” The Watchguard Captain of Wuling is the most serious officer in the city, and her own files are full of moments like that one.

How we checked this. Everything below comes from Mi Fu’s in-game text in the official English localization: her operator profile and Operator Records, her voice lines, and the dialogue of her story chapter (The Captain’s Mystery). We checked the current Version 1.x text on 3 October 2026. Spoiler warning: moments 8 to 10 give away the twist of her story chapter. For her serious side, the letter Zhuang Fangyi never meant to send and what she owes Wuling, read our Mi Fu lore deep dive.

Short version first: these moments are also a one-minute arcade-style Short on our YouTube channel. The quotes and every source follow below. More operator Shorts are on the Endfield lore hub.

Her funniest moments, from her own files

The first four come from the arena itself. During her story chapter, her old Master commentates over the radio while Mi Fu fights, and spends the whole time telling embarrassing stories about her.

1. She won her first fight by biting

“Remember your first time on this stage?” her Master asks. “You forgot all forms, got knocked down by Iron Pillar again and again. But you refused to yield, and won by biting him into submission.” Mi Fu: “Yes, I remember that! Stop talking!”

2. She fought a waterwheel, and lost to the dark

Next round, the Master again: “Remember that night you went at a waterwheel, bruising yourself just to break it?” Mi Fu’s defense is one line: “Tsk… I had night blindness, okay?”

3. She cracked a baby tooth from gritting her teeth

“During your first strength hardening drills, you gritted so hard… Even cracked a baby tooth. Aww, I was worried yet proud.” Mi Fu: “Master! Shut up!”

4. She lost to her boss, then asked for round two

Mi Fu once charged at Zhuang Fangyi as a Stockade disciple sworn to take on Wuling. “We fought for a long time. I passed out first. So naturally, I asked for round two, tore my stitches, and nearly died.” Zhuang saved her again and made her stay to recover. Zhuang’s own letter remembers that first meeting as a girl with “a fiery gaze” who “in a single blink” charged straight at her “with a fist poised to strike.”

5. Her name is two random characters from a book

Zhuang kept her in a medical room for over a month, and she refused to say a word. “One day, she was reading beside my bed and suddenly asked for my name. I just pointed at two random characters in her book. She looked at them and said, ‘Perfect. Mi Fu it is, then.’” Mi Fu’s verdict, years later: “This name does have a good ring to it.”

6. She swore off sweets, but the vendor knows her

When the boss took her in, she had never tasted sweet rice cakes that good. “So I stuffed my face for three months straight, till I couldn’t even look at anything remotely sweet.” She tells everyone she is done with them. Then, in her story chapter, the Wuling sweet rice cake vendor mentions in passing that Captain Mi is “a regular for my sweet rice cakes.” She also greets the Endministrator on the Dijiang with “You’re late. The souvenirs are gone… Freshly fried sweet rice cakes, of course.”

7. Her solution to calligraphy is a sword swing

Zhuang told her calligraphy would teach her patience. It did not: “A brush stroke is no different than a sword swing.” Zhuang’s letter admits her writing came out “just as stern and unyielding as your fists.” Swordplay went no better. Wuling prefers blades, so she tried to learn, and the boss said she looked “like I was trying to wrestle a willow tree.”

8. The kidnapping was a setup

In The Captain’s Mystery, Zhuang goes missing, a letter calls for old scores to be settled, and Mi Fu fights her way through the disciples and masters who trained her to get her boss back. Her Senior Master even turns up late on purpose so his students can show her his techniques first. Then Zhuang walks out, perfectly fine. The whole thing was staged to end the feud between Qingbo Stockade and Wuling.

9. Everyone was in on it, and Tangtang was taking bets

Her masters knew. Zhuang knew (“she’s got a devilish mind. She probably sold the setup to my masters”). And Tangtang ran a betting booth on the fights: “Last chance, last glance! The match is near, riches are here! Place your bets and take your stance!” Mi Fu: “I can’t believe you’re taking bets on Boss and Wuling’s safety?!”

10. Then she turns on the Endministrator

The Endministrator knew too. Mi Fu works it out, spells out “E-n-d-min-is-tra-tor!” one syllable at a time, and asks why nobody told her: “‘Cos I’m too dense to play along? How does everyone see me? A mad woman?” Then she settles it the only way she knows: “Hope you’ve been training… because I’m challenging you next!”

A few more lines worth knowing

  • Her party trick: “I am a weapon. I leave ‘souvenirs’ on my opponents. Bruises that they won’t forget.”
  • On mining: “The ore should still work if it’s smashed up, right?”
  • On being assigned to a facility: “Alright. But if any delicate stuff gets wrecked, don’t blame me.”
  • On her first day aboard the ship: “I’ve barely been here a minute, yet I already spotted three suspicious individuals. Oh? Your friends? Your social circle is really something.”
  • Her HR file lists her areas to improve as “over eagerness in applying force,” “tendency to employ physical measures when resolving various situations” and “limited administrative skills.” Her public review: “A little blunt but always just.”

Mi Fu and Tangtang

The two grew up beating each other up in Qingbo Stockade. Tangtang calls her “mad woman” and “Mad Mimi”; Mi Fu calls her “little kitty” and claims she has “unfinished business” with her. Tangtang’s Operator Record insists “Chief Supreme’s gonna win eventually. So what if she’s got bigger arms?” Zhuang’s letter tells Mi Fu she has “every right to be a friend of Tangtang without feeling the need to keep it a secret.” Tangtang’s side of the feud, and the time Mi Fu picked her and Chen Qianyu up by the collar, is in why Tangtang is called Soup Soup.

Why the comedy lands

Every joke above has the same shape: a captain who solves everything with her fists, surrounded by people who love her and keep embarrassing her. Her masters tell her stories in front of a crowd because they are proud of her. Zhuang stages a whole kidnapping to free her from a feud she never wanted. Under the jokes, that is the point of her story. If you want her build rather than her backstory, see our Mi Fu best teams guide.
