ARGENT FLOW LORE: HIS COW TEXTED HIS BOSS

Table of Contents
Argent Flow’s phone once texted his boss “MOO. IIIIIIAAAAA.” and a location pin, because a burdenbeast licked it. That is how his story quest in Arknights Endfield opens, and the rest of his operator file is just as strange for one of the strongest swordsmen in the game.

Argent Flow, given name Ye Minghe, is an Imperial Guard of Yan and the Hongshan Academy of Sciences’ “Captain of Pacified Skies”. He is also a man whose horse beat him in their first fight, who uses a legendary sword on weeds, and who walked into a talent show on his first day at Endfield and won almost everything in it.
How we checked this. Everything below comes from Argent Flow’s profile records, voice lines, Baker chats and story quest dialogue in the official English text, read from the November 2026 game data. Quotes are the game’s own words. The images are panels from our own Short about him, built from the same files, with official character art by Hypergryph / Gryphline.

TL;DR - Key Points
- A burdenbeast texted his boss. It licked his handyterm and sent the Endministrator “MOO. IIIIIIAAAAA.” with a location pin. His guards assumed a monster attack.
- His horse won their first fight. At fourteen he fought Nuli for a day and a night. She rammed him, passed out, and he still counts it as her win.
- Nuli eats hay with grit and slug mucus. HR orders every handler to memorize his rules for her.
- He uses Fulei, the Lurking Thunder, on weeds. The Bureau of Swordmancers complained. At home his short sword doubles as an alarm clock.
- He won almost every event at a talent show on his first day at Endfield, and lost a 928-second staring contest to Xaihi.
- His list of mentors includes a farm kid, a trucker and his horse. The one Si says he forgot is the Endministrator.
Did Argent Flow’s Cow Really Text the Endministrator?

It did. His story quest begins with a Baker message from his account. The full text is @#%.,MOO. IIIIIIAAAAA#$&%, then !@#!#$#MM@#$@#$, then [Positioning data]. The Endministrator’s only reply option is “MOO?”
So the Endministrator goes to the coordinates and finds two watchguards blocking an intersection on his orders. They have already decided it is a disaster: “Maybe some major disaster just blew up in there… It could be a Blight Tide … or an Aggelos attack.” One of them adds that he is the Imperial Guards’ “Captain of Pacified Skies”, and “Sure, that captain thing is a vanity title, but Tianshi Tan granted it to him herself!”

The real cause was a herd of burdenbeasts, the big shaggy farm animals of Wuling. An old friend of his, a Tianshi, was moving his herd, it got agitated, and one maverick got hold of his handyterm. His explanation: “Oops. I guess the maverick used your handyterm to tongue-toast a few of your friends…”
Argent Flow apologises (“My apologies. I didn’t expect this. Sorry for taking up your time.”), then admits the accident did him a favour: “I was trying to arrange a formal meeting with the Endmin to catch up a little… This beast actually helped with that.”
How Did Argent Flow Meet His Horse Nuli?

Nuli is his galloper, the black mount he charges on in his ultimate. His sixth profile record calls her his second mentor, and tells how they met:
“I was a lad of fourteen and encountered her in the wilderness. Both of us wanted to hunt down the same prey, but the chase quickly turned into a competition. We fought for a day and a night, tearing down almost half the trees on the hill slope. I was too stubborn to lose, and so was she.”
“Nuli and I collapsed by the river at almost the same time. She, ever the stiff-necked beast, got back to her hooves, staggered towards me, and tried to ram me with her horn … before she ultimately passed out. It was her victory.”
He takes a lesson from it: “The bearer of duty and authority must be armed with such mental fortitude.” She has carried him ever since.
What Does Nuli Eat?

Not plain hay. From a voice line: “And nope, she wouldn’t eat simple hay. You have to spice it up with some Aggagrit and Originium Slug mucus.” He then wonders whether a galloper native to Talos-II would like “alien food from Terra”.
Endfield’s HR summary is friendly about Argent Flow and blunt about his horse: “His galloper is a beast of immense strength and violent temper. Be vigilant and cautious if tasked with feeding or caring for said beast. The Operator has personally organized a comprehensive list of things to look out for. Any personnel tasked with galloper handling MUST PERUSE AND MEMORIZE THE SAID LIST REPEATEDLY.”

His story quest adds one more warning: “Also, don’t touch Nuli when she starts glowing blue. If you need a hand with anything, just reach out to Ye Minghe.”
What Is Fulei, the Lurking Thunder?

Fulei is the sword he has carried for years, and he does not treat it as an heirloom. In his words: “Many Aggeloi fell to it, as did many trees and weeds. The Bureau of Swordmancers once requested it for study, and got really upset at me for wasting it on mundane chores. It was a long argument.”
His reasoning is that “a weapon’s quality lies in the wielder, and not in itself”. That also explains his gear at home. In a Baker chat about the new air freshener on Dijiang, he lists his own modifications: “I have a lamp that also doubles as a decent grill, a hot water kettle that can play radio news, a short sword that also serves as an alarm clock…” He blames “my lack of professionalism and competency” for the results.
What Happened at the Operators Got Talent Show?

One of his profile records is his full scorecard from “Operators Got Talent: Monthly Mega-Arena”. He entered eleven events and placed in every one:
| Event | Result | Note in the record |
|---|---|---|
| Blindfolded & Armed Combat | 1st in Division | forfeits after knowing this is a competition |
| The Art of Throwing | 1st | 10 perfect throws, with 3 daggers plunged into the hilt of the previous |
| Wrestle and Fight | 1st in weight class | handicapped himself by tying one arm to the back |
| Injury SAR Simulation Dash | 1st, Forte Down | many Dusthair surgeons commended his skills |
| Burdo-Bot-Bucker Rodeo | 1st | stayed in saddle for 600s; the Bot-Bucker broke down |
| Herbal Speed Trivia | 2nd, Hobbyist Division | |
| Creative and Improvised Carving | “IT’S SO CUTE” Prizewinner | tool used is a sewing needle |
| Micro-Gravity Office Chair Racing | 2nd | only 0.4s behind best record |
| CHUG DA KOHL! | 1st in Division | ignored the rules and joined the Durin Division |
| Tofu Courier with Chopsticks | 1st | carried 36.5 pieces |
| No Blinking | 2nd | 928s without blinking, defeated by Operator Xaihi |

The staring contest went to Xaihi. Lil’ Dodge’s note under the record points out these are “unofficial events designed for fun” and asks how anyone convinced a man on his first day at Endfield to enter so many. A Logistics operator answers: “Dude just saw a crowd having fun and joined in…”
Is Argent Flow the Strongest Fighter Under Forty?

A fan book says so. He does not agree: “The Catalog of Warriors Under the Heavens is just a work of entertainment. It was compiled by amateurs with too much time on their hands. I never fought any TGCC knights, Security Bureau elites, or that swordmanceress from the Chen family, so those rankings are pure fiction. As for the ‘undisputed champion under forty’, they probably saw my rank in the Imperial Guards and made it up.”
The same voice line ends with a complaint about the Endministrator: “And Endmin, please stop staring. I was born this way, so don’t blame me for looking young.”

In a Baker chat the Endministrator overhears kids arguing about the HAS Swordmancers Leaderboard, and one of them thinks Argent Flow deserves a higher rank. He thanks the boy for his trust, then admits: “Yet there is an occasion when a rampaging burdenbeast dragged me through town. He might be disappointed to learn about that.”
How Many Mentors Does Argent Flow Have?

His sixth profile record is a long answer to one question from Si. He goes through his sword instructor, Nuli and Tianshi Tan until she cuts in: “Enough! Sheesh! It was a simple question, but you kept rambling on and on and on. How many mentors did you have anyway?”
“Quite a few, Lady Si. A youth from Pan’an Village taught me how to raise burdenbeasts. A vendor of Luoyi gave me lessons on improving my incense mix. An Aldertone in the wildlands taught me how to sing. An Asphalt Roundabout trucker taught me to brew sweet kohl with bitter fruits… From a group of three, one can most certainly find a mentor.”
Si is not impressed (“Hmph. Trying to act all humble and nice again.”), and then she notices the gap: “I asked you about mentors, but you didn’t even mention the Endministrator!”

His answer closes the record: “The Endministrator … is more than just a ‘mentor’ to me…”
The youth from Pan’an Village is the herdsboy Mu Xing, who appears in his story quest. That is where the burdenbeasts, the tartpepper bait and the cow that texted the Endministrator all come from.
